EndNote - page numbers in text ciations

You may come across a situation in Cite While You Write [CWYW] where you want to add a page number after a quote. The EndNote Help appears to miss out a crucial step that sends users round in circles. Heres how to do it

  1. Click on the reference you want to edit

  2. Go to Tools > Endnote > Edit References

  3. Type the page number in the Suffix field but put a comma space BEFORE the number followed by , p. This should produce (Holland, p. 123)

  4. Crucially - if you just put in the page number without spaces or punctuation it will not display. The minimum you must enter is SPACE PAGE NUMBER.
