e-infrastructure for scientific data

The rapid changes in information technology are a real threat to the preservation of digital material. File formats and software become obsolete over time therefore making the task of preserving data for future generations a real challenge. PARSE.Insight (Permanent Access to Scientific Data) is an EU funded project which aims to preserve scientific information from initial data through to published research. The project will create a roadmap for developing an e-infrastructure to ensure the long term accessibility of scientific data.
