REF assessment postponed until 2014

David Willetts, Minister of State for Universities and Science, has announced the new timetable for the Research Excellence Framework (REF). The assessment phase of the REF will now take place during 2014 to inform funding from 2015-16

This will allow HEFCE and other funding partners more time to gain feedback from universities and develop a robust method for assessing the impact of research.
